MediaTek hosted MARC Workshop 2026 on June 24 through the MediaTek Advanced Research Center (MARC), recognizing the year's university-industry collaboration outcomes while outlining forward-looking R&D priorities in AI, satellite communications and next-generation connectivity.

Linkotech said its fan-out panel-level packaging rollout is showing early momentum, with certification from a North American low-Earth-orbit satellite communications customer and first equipment deliveries completed in the first half of 2026. The company said related sales could quickly rise to double digits as a share of annual revenue, with implications for supply chains worldwide.

Facing expanding opportunities in both optical communications and satellite connectivity, Dennis Chen, chairman of WIN Semiconductors, said the company is actively advancing a range of products, including driver ICs, continuous-wave (CW) lasers, and photodiodes, while also ramping up capacity in anticipation of growing demand from next-generation networks.
