Synopsys, a chip-design software company, said it reached a settlement with activist investor Elliott Investment Management that gives Elliott managing partner Jesse Cohn a seat on its board.
Elliott built a multi-billion-dollar stake and spent about two months pressing the Sunnyvale, Cali
