NVIDIA’s Vera CPU signals a paradigm shift from general-purpose to agent-optimized compute infrastructure. Technically, the Olympus core and NVLink™-C2C will force memory suppliers to reallocate LPDDR5X capacity and compel EDA vendors to support 3nm custom CPU flows. On compliance, while confidential computing enhances data sovereignty, it may trigger stricter U.S. export controls—especially concerning 3nm EUV production in Taiwan, China. Intel and AMD will likely accelerate AI-agent-specific ISA enhancements in Granite Rapids and Turin, marginalizing ARM’s Neoverse roadmap.
